The annual Spectrum Sunshine Festival is just around the corner. The soapbox derby event from last year proved to be very popular and is making a return for this years festivities. Organizers say that they had 20 cars competing last year and that everyone said they wanted to do it again. Trevor Eichelbaum says that they would love to see 40 cars registered to compete this year. He adds that some design changes to the cars have been introduced for safety reasons. Cars this year can not be steered by ropes but must have levers or a steering wheel. Also the amount of steering has been reduced to keep drivers from veering to far off course. This year’s Spectrum Festival runs from May 30th through June 1st
