Rain and cool temperatures couldn’t stop Hatters from lacing up the running shoes for several charitable events. The MS run and walk saw about 200 entrants this year. Organizers said somewhere in the neighborhood of $41,000 dollars was raised. Cleo’s 12th annual Mothers Day walk at the Medicine Hat Mall had just shy of $1600 raised for the Breast Cancer Society. The Kidney Foundation, Move for Mental Health and Threads of Life were other groups that were holding walks this weekend. Threads of Life is a new walk to the city that was raising funds to support families who have lost loved ones in workplace accidents
