Questions are arising over parking for the new Canalta Centre. Although issues may not come up, the city is trying to prepare as though they will. Some feel the current one thousand spaces won’t be enough for the arena that can hold up to 7000 people for a concert and 6000 for a hockey game. Public Services commissioner Karen Charlton says the one thousand parking spaces are more than double those at the old arena. Many options are currently available including public transit, and shuttles to help avoid congestion.
