The first phase of flood mitigation work in Harlow is nearly complete. Contractor MJB Construction begin work about a year ago on the $3.7 million project that saw a berm installed from Harris Street, to near the Trans-Canada Highway. A new asphalt walking path has also been put on the top of the berm that will allow residents some great views according to officials. The second phase of the Harlow project will see another berm constructed between the South Saskatchewan River and private residences that line 1st Street SE. That berm is currently in the design phase and plans are expected to be made public in the near future.
