Medicine Hat School District 76 is mourning the sudden passing of their superintendent. Dr. Grant Henderson passed away at his home on Sunday evening. Division board chair Terry Riley confirmed the news yesterday, and said that Medicine Hat has lost a great leader, and that Henderson brought insight and humanity to the system. School District Trustee Rick Massini said that Henderson was good natured, loved a good practical joke, and was one of the hardest working people he had ever met. Henderson was born in Medicine Hat and worked as an educator in the area for over 30 years, and had been Superintendent since 2009.
