Police continue to seek assault suspect


Medicine Hat Police are continuing to look for a man wanted in connection with an assault. Police say that early on Monday morning, a man was assaulted outside the Silver Buckle on South Railway Street. 25 year old Rob Parkinson was struck with a beer bottle and had to be taken to hospital with serious cuts. Parkinson was airlifted to Calgary were he received 100 stitches, plus received treatment for a broken orbital bone and will need plastic surgery to re-attach his lower right eyelid. Staff Sgt. Joe West with the Major Crimes Unit says investigators are still looking for the suspect and asks that anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Medicine Hat Police service at 529-8400 or Crimestoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
