With Spectrum just around the corner, so is another annual event. Once again during the festival the Southeastern Alberta Sexual response Committee will be holding Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. The event sees men from all walks put on women’s shoes and walk a mile to support an end to domestic violence. The walk will get underway on June 6th at 2:00 pm and begin from the North Railway Street Spectrum site. Organizer Christina Johnson says about 60 men have walked each of the last 6 years and it’s an opportunity for them to take a stand against domestic violence. Johnson adds they have about 50 pairs of high heels and other styles of shoes for the men to wear that day.
