It’s not known if Medicine Hat MLA elect Bob Wanner will be in Rachel Notley’s cabinet, but we will know by this weekend. Notley announced that she and her 11 Cabinet Ministers will be sworn in on the Legislature grounds this Sunday at 2 p.m. Government MLAs will be sworn in on Monday, June 1. Notley also announced that the Legislature will meet to elect a speaker on June 11th, and the Speech from the Throne will be delivered on June 15th. Notley also announced yesterday that Brian Mason has been appointed the new Government House Leader. Mason is the former leader of the Alberta New Democrats, but resigned his position last year, making way for Notley to take over as party leader.
