With the mild dry spring in Medicine Hat, city crews have made short order of street sweeping. Municipal Works Manager, Jeremy Petryshyn, says city the sweeping crews didn’t have many rain days to slow them down, and they had very few mechanical break downs. Petryshyn add that because of the ideal conditions, they are several weeks ahead of schedule. The final zone to be swept includes the Light Industrial and Cottonwood Area, Tower Estates, and the Municipal Airport. Petryshyn says that if all goes well, the sweeping crews could be done by the end of this week.
