Campsites all over the province will be open and busy this weekend, and fire officials are urging campers to be careful . Chris Clark from Cypress Hills Provincial park says the Camp grounds in the Park are expected to be at capacity this weekend. The fire hazard is high which means the there is a potential for wild fires. Helicopter crews are on standby at Elkwater, however, Clark says if you are camping this weekend, pay close attention to your campfire, and soak it several times to make sure it’s completely out. There are currently no fire bans in place for Cypress County, while in the Counties of Forty Mile and Newell, the threat ranges from high to very high. If you do spot a fire, you should call the provincial hotline at 310-FIRE
