A Medicine Hat man involved in a police shooting two years ago appeared in Provincial Court yesterday. 35 year old Michael Carolan has been charged with a dozen firearms offences after a standoff with police in September of 2013. Police say Carolan came out of the home with several firearms, and refused to drop them. Carolan was shot by the responding officers and was seriously injured.Carolan originally pleaded not guilty to all the charges, however in court yesterday, changed his plea to guilty on 5 counts of pointing a firearm. Carolan will appear in court on January 28th for sentencing.
