A Medicine Hat man is dead following a two vehicle collision on the weekend near Grassy Lake. Mounties, Fire and EMS were called to the collision Saturday morning at 7:30AM approximately five miles east of Grassy Lake on Highway 3. Officers say a an east bound car crossed the center line and struck an oncoming pickup truck. The male driver of the truck and the female driver of the car were both killed in the crash,. The male driver of the truck has been identified as Chris Gerbrandt of Medicine Hat.. Gerbrandt’s wife and son were rushed to the Bow Island Health Centre, transferred to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, and then airlifted to Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance, Police continue to investigate, but alcohol has been ruled out as a cause of the crash.
