Local school boards are taking a long hard look at international travel by students in light of terrorist attacks and threats overseas.  The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education at this weeks meeting says that overseas trips are not being considered at this time.  Trustees noted that trips by students to Arizona and New Orleans have been given the green light while a Science trip to Mexico is being reviewed.  Prairie Rose School Division officials say that they will look at trips on a case by case basis, but discourage any overseas planning.  Eagle Butte High School has been approved for a basketball trip to Phoenix, Arizona.  School District 76 trustees  meanwhile are also saying overseas trips are a no-go.  Officials say that preliminary approvals already given to planned trips will be reviewed.
