With the City of Medicine Hat facing a 25% less revenue in the upcoming budget, Council says that everything is being looked at for potential cost savings. A number of presentations were made to council this week during their regular meeting that put things like user fees, staffing, the vehicle fleet and more all squarely on the table. Mayor Ted Clugston said there is nothing that is not being considered in areas to find savings. Councillor Robert Dumanowski stated that this shortfall is due to commodity prices and is not a reflection on something this council nor the previous one did or didn’t do.
