Another petition is making the rounds of downtown businesses aimed at the City Centre Development Agency. Not long ago, a petition was circulated, aimed at having the CCDA disbanded altogether. The current petition is calling on the city to end the grant of $100,000 per year that is given to the CCDA. Petition supporters say that they hope the city will allocate that money to something more useful and needed. So far, more than 100 signatures are on the petition. Supporters say they plan to attend the December 21st city council meeting and air more concerns.
