The snow and cold temperatures yesterday made for some icy conditions on highways all over the city. Sargeant Stacey Fishley of the Medicine Hat Police service said that by 1pm, Police were called to 14 collision calls. Most of the collisions were fender benders, but Fishley said that 2 lamp standards were struck, as well as a fence , and  the Trans Canada bridge was also struck due to icy conditions. But, thankfully, Fishley added that there were no serious injuries in any of the accidents. City crews were out overnight sanding intersections and high traffic areas, and Fishley reminds motorists to give yourself extra time and slow down on your way to work
