A woman who confessed to killing Casey Armstrong in May 2011 was back in court this week.  Wendy Scott had been sentenced to life in prison for her role in Armstrong’s death.  Scott was also the key prosecution witness in  co-accused Connie Oakes trial.  Recently, an Alberta Court of Appeal decision granted Scott a new trial after she recanted her confession.  Oakes is now seeking an appeal of her own.  Scott will be back in Medicine Hat court on December 17th for arraignment and possibly setting a new trial date.  Armstrongs family say they are frustrated and that they hope there will justice served and someone will be held accountable for Armstrongs murder
