The City Centre Development Agency will move forward into workplace harassment claims at the Monarch Theatre. The CCDA has approved the hiring of an investigator to look into the complaints. Several former employees between the ages of 13 to 25 have come forward claiming they were verbally and even sexually harassed by theatre management. All the complaints were made over the last two years, but recently became public after a story was released by the CBC. Medicine Hat Police say they were called in to investigate two of those complaints, but said the incidents were not criminal in nature. The CCDA has not named the investigator as they are still finalizing the details.
