City now offers free Wi-Fi in most facilities

The City of Medicine Hat is partnering with Shaw Go WiFi to provide internet connectivity at most city owned facilities.  Officials say that unlike other locations where Shaw Go Wi-Fi is available, you do not need to be a Shaw customer to access this guest service at these City facilities.  The service is available to all residents and visitors while they are in these buildings.  The Hockey Hounds, Moose, Arena and Kinplex had the Wi-Fi service available in June of this year. In August, Shaw Go Wi-Fi was accessible at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport and was recently brought online at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre. It is expected that by the end of the year guests to City Hall, Police Services, Strathcona Centre and the Family Leisure Centre will also be able to tap into the service.  Plans are also underway for this service to be launched at the Gas City Campground in the Spring of 2016.
