Flood mitigation project nearing completion

Flood mitigation work in Lions Park is very nearly complete.  City of Medicine Hat officials say that construction on the Lions Park Overland Flow Protection Strategy should wrap up in the next couple of weeks.  The southern portion of the project is expected to be completed by mid-November followed by the remaining westerly portion shortly thereafter. Until then, the City of Medicine Hat asks that the public respect the safety measures that have been put in place.   Next up for crews is working toward putting the finishing touches on this major flood mitigation project.
