Two face charges after drug bust


A 23-year-old Medicine Hat man is facing charges related to drug trafficking following an investigation by Medicine Hat Police Service and ALERT.  Aaron Solheim was arrested last Saturday following a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at a home on Ross Glen Road Southeast.  More than 50 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marihuana were seized. The drugs have an estimated street value of $5,500. The vehicle Solheim was driving, a newer Chevrolet pickup truck, was seized as an offense related property.  Solheim is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.  A second man, who has been released from custody, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
