The man involved in a police chase that injured one Medicine Hat Police officer has now been charged. Early Wednesday morning, police attempted to stop a stolen F-350 truck when it backed into two patrol cars and injured the officer. The police dog in the vehicle was checked over by a vet and found not to be hurt. The officer is expected to be released from hospital in the coming days. A pursuit was initiated by police and Redcliff RCMP joined in as the stolen truck fled towards Seven Persons, where it was stopped by a spike belt, but not before the truck heavily damaged an RCMP cruiser and another vehicle. 54 year old Kevin Labelle is now facing 16 criminal code charges. He remains in custody until he appears in Medicine Hat Court Tuesday, May 12th.
