A city man no longer faces Manslaughter charges. 29 year old James Neil had been charged at the end of July after 44 year old Greg Dyrland was found dead at the bottom of stairs in their home. The Crown Prosecutor earlier this week informed the court that they would be withdrawing the manslaughter charge as the Medical Examiners office concluded an autopsy and stated they didn’t believe Dyrland suffered lethal injuries to his head or neck from the fall. Medical Examiners state it’s believed he died from a mix of alcohol and cocaine found in his system. Neil was released from custody and has pleaded guilty to simple assault in case. He’ll be sentenced on November 3rd
