With the federal election day less than a week away, some elementary students are getting a taste of the democratic process.  Irvine School students are voting for who they think should be the next Prime Minister tomorrow.  Grade 6 social studies teacher Stuart Shigehiro’s class is hosting the event and a number of grade 6 students will be acting as poll Clerks, Deputy Returning Officer, and Candidate Representatives or Scrutineers, all assigned to certain tasks.  Irvine School is just one of 17 Prairie Rose School Division schools that are hosting student votes this week.
