The Medicine Hat Police Service has received numerous calls since the onset of the federal election campaign regarding the damage and theft of candidate signs throughout the City.  Police are issuing a reminder that it is an offence to remove or damage official election signs, persons found damaging or removing signs can face charges under the Criminal Code.  Police add that regardless of an individual person’s political views or opinions, interfering with a candidate’s right to advertise for their party interferes with the democratic process.  Voters will be heading to the polls next Monday
