Two Medicine Hat Police officers have been commended for their quick actions that saved a life. On September 10th, Constables Chris Wyrostok and Tracy McMillan attended a motor vehicle collision in Kin Coulee Park. During the post collision investigation the driver suddenly collapsed and went into medical distress. Using their first aid training, Cst. Wyrostok and Cst. McMillan quickly assessed the driver’s condition, commenced CPR and utilized the AED located in their vehicle. After a short period of time, the driver regained consciousness and was transported to hospital by EMS. Chief Andy McGrogan said the fact that the male driver is alive and recovering is a testament to the training, quick thinking and actions of both officers.
