As the federal election draws nearer, some voters will get their chance to cast ballots this weekend. Advance polling stations will open across the city on Friday and run through Thanksgiving Monday with polls open daily from noon until 8:00 pm. Elections Canada officials say that to vote you will need to bring photo ID with you such as a drivers license or provincial identification card. If you don’t have photo ID you can bring along two pieces of ID, one of which must show your current address. Officials say that the voter card residents received in the mail is not a form of ID. More information on voting can be found on the Elections Canada website.
