A Medicine Hat man is facing charges for a bomb threat. Medicine Hat Police were called out last week after a man called 9-1-1 to say he was going to blow up the downtown branch of the Royal Bank. Police evacuated the building however an extensive search failed to turn up any suspicious devices or packages. Priority Street Crime unit members announced on Friday that they had arrested a 32 year old Medicine Hat man in connection with the incident. His name has not yet been released as formal charges have not yet been sworn before the court. Police are thanking members of the public who came forward with information that led to the arrest.
