A major drug bust for the Medicine Hat Police Service. Early yesterday morning, Police stopped a vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway. Upon investigation, officers found 170 marijuana plants and 8,000 THC candies.  THC is also known as “Randy Candy” and is a cannabis derivative that is designed to look and taste much like a traditional candy. And because of that, the drug may be consumed by children who are not aware it is a drug. The total estimated street value of this seizure is $292,500. The two male passengers are from Manitoba, and have both been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking THC, as well as production of a controlled substance.  Both males remain in custody awaiting their bail hearing.
