The Town of Redcliff will soon begin work on slumping coulees. A recent report to the town from an outside firm showed that ground water and seasonal changes impact the slumping issue. A contractor has taken a look at the Kipling and West side coulee areas and has now come up with a mitigation plan for the town. Construction will begin within the next few weeks and focus mainly on shoring up the bottom of the coulees for these areas. The Project is expected to cost about $1 million. Town officials say they will also work on educating residents in the affected areas on ways they can help prevent future slumping.
