Stolen vehicle charges from Olds, Redcliff and Medicine Hat have landed one man in jail. Medicine Hat Police say that on August 19th they ran a license plate on a dodge truck that came back as stolen. The driver sped away before the officer could stop him. A day later 3 more vehicles were reported stolen from Redcliff and Medicine Hat. That afternoon, a member of the public spotted one of the stolen vehicles headed into the city and called police. The car pulled into a motel on 1st Street SW where police made the arrest. 46 year old Harvey Matheson of no fixed address now faces a dozen charges including theft and breaching recognizance from Red Deer for similar offences. He will remain in jail until appearing in Medicine Hat court on September 1st.
