The Modernization of Medicine Hat High School is well underway. School district 76 officials say that because of the scope of the project they made the decision to split the work into two phases. The First phase is nearly complete and that is seeing the CTS wing where the shop classes are almost done. It’s expected that portion of the modernization will be completed within the next few weeks. Meanwhile the tender for the South Wing is in the process of being finalized by the district. Officials say that once construction begins, students will be moved into the science and North wings for the duration of the project. That phase is expected to be completed by the fall of 2017. The modernization project is expected to cost $37 million
