Enrollments are up at Medicine Hat College. College officials say that as of August 15th, the number of students taking courses at the College was at 2474 which is up from last years 2362. Criminal justice and Environmental Reclamation were both up this year as enrollments rose in those 2 courses by 29 and 39 percent respectively. Interim student services director and registrar Brian Albano said that this also marks the first year that pre-employment programs are eligible for Alberta student loans which is another reason for the increases. Albano added that there has ben in increase in adult students inquiring about courses but can’t say yet if that translates into enrollments
