Skills competition underway at MHC


Medicine Hat College Students get a chance to showcase their skills today. Along with The South Eastern Partners for Youth Career Development, the college is hosting the tenth annual South East Alberta Regional Skills Competition Trades and Technology Expo. The skills competition provides students an opportunity to showcase their skills, outside of the classroom, in areas including: automotive service, baking, cabinet making, carpentry, culinary arts, hair styling, TV/video production and welding. The top competitors from each of these areas advance on to represent southeast Alberta at the Provincial Skills Competition held in Edmonton, Alberta from May 13 to 14. Today’s competition and expo started at 9:00 this morning and awards will be presented this afternoon at 4:30.
