The provincial political landscape in the Medicine Hat constituency has retained the status quo. Blake Pedersen, the incumbent and former Wildrose MLA, won the PC nomination vote on the first ballot Saturday, defeating former city councilor John Hammill and realtor Jeff Lanigan in voting at the Cypress Center. Pedersen praised his team for their hard work, and added praise for the other candidates. He also says it’s just a relief to come through this and go to the next challenge. Bill Grady, President of the Medicine Hat PC association, said that the party will not release the final voting results.
