A young bull moose that has been visiting the Ross Glen area over the past few days has a new home. Wildlife officers got some help yesterday from bylaw enforcement, police and the fire department in locating and dealing with the moose in a green space located between Ross Glen and Mother Theresa schools. Students were kept inside as officials tranquilized the young bull 4 times. One officer estimated him to be around 3 years old and weighing about 800 pounds. Once the tranquilizers took effect, the moose was loaded up and transported out to the Cypress Hills where he was released. Wildlife officers said he suffered no injuries or lasting effects from his brush with city life.
