The young woman convicted of the 2006 triple murder in Medicine Hat had a sentence review in Medicine Hat Court of Queens Bench. The woman was just 12 years old at the time she and then boyfriend Jeremy Steinke killed Marc and Debra Richardson and 8 year old Jacob. Because of her age at the time of the offence her name can not be released. Justice Scott Brooker noted for the record that a report prepared for the court stated the young woman as met all the conditions of her sentence without exception. Brooker said that by lifting the curfew on weekends, it will help to transition her to life without supervision in 2 years time. The woman thanked Justice Brooker for the opportunity. her sentence will be completed in 2016 and she will not have an adult criminal record that ties her to the murders.
