The Medicine Hat Tigers are not happy about a proposed user fee on tickets for the new Medicine Hat Events Center. The Tigers found out about the idea following the public services committee meeting on Monday. Team officials say that they haven’t increased their ticket prices in the last 8 years, and doing so now could keep fans away from the game. Spokesman Dave Andjelic says that it’s their goal to keep ticket prices as affordable for families as possible. A recommendation has now been sent to Medicine Hat city council to add $2.15 to the price of every ticket at every event to help raise funds for the facility. Council will likely deal with the recommendation at their next regular meeting.
