Police on the lookout for unsafe drivers

The Medicine Hat Police Service is launching Operation Safe Summer Roads today. As the summer driving season is now underway, police are stepping up enforcement on unsafe driving practices. Officers will be looking for drivers not wearing seat belts and will be concentrating on speeding in playground zones and construction zones. Distracted driving as well as vehicle safety & equipment is also on their list. Acting Sergeant Brent Bohrn says police are urging drivers to pay attention while driving so everyone makes it home safely. Operation Safe Summer Roads will continue until the end of August.
