A Medicine Hat man is facing several charges after a domestic dispute. On Monday night, police were called out to a home on Aberdeen St where a woman said the boyfriend had slapped her, pushed her down the stairs, had a weapon and harmed the family pet. She ran from the home and called 9-1-1 from a nearby location. When police arrived the intoxicated man threatened officers with a gun. The TACT team was called in and after several hours passed, he surrendered without further incident. The 29 year old man is charged with assault with a weapon, breach of probation, possession of a weapon, mischief and cruelty to animals. He man remains in custody pending a bail hearing and future court date
