A stream flow advisory for the South Saskatchewan river has been issued by Alberta Environment. Officials say that rains in southern Alberta will impact flows in the next few days but they still don’t think we’ll see major flooding like we did at this time last year. A flood watch has been issued for parts of the High river area with emergency officials there saying that some low lying flooding could occur. Environment Canada meanwhile has issued rainfall warnings for much of the south today with rainfall amounts between 60 and 100 millimeters. Brooks, Lethbridge, Taber and the Cypress Hills are under that watch this morning. Medicine Hat so far is not under a rainfall warning
