Some Fido and Rogers customers in the city’s north end are still without cell service this morning. One man who asked not to be identified said his Fido service has been down since Saturday in the Crescent Heights area. He said he can’t make or receive calls north of the river but the phone works fine on the south side of the city. Several Rogers customers are reporting similar issues. An employee at the Fido store in the mall says they were told it was a lightening strike on the new tower early Saturday morning that was the cause of the outage. Praise FM news contacted both Fido and Rogers customer service centers and both denied there were any service issues or network disruptions in Medicine Hat.
