Deadly fire deemed accidental

Medicine Hat police and fire department officials say the blaze that took the life of a city woman was accidental. Staff Sergeant Brian Christman said in a press release that the cause of the fire last Friday at the Steel St home is considered non-suspicious. Firefighters pulled the body of a 62 year old woman from the blaze last week and initial autopsy results showed nothing suspicious. The home was completely destroyed in the blaze and damages are estimated to be around $200,000. At the request of the family, the name of the woman who perished is being with-held
