The budget presented to school district 76 trustee’s at this time is perfectly balanced. At yesterday’s meeting, public school trustees approved the preliminary budget that shows expenditures of just over $81 million along with matching revenues. Superintendent Dr Grant Henderson feels that even with a slight increase in enrolled students next year, they have managed to maintain service levels across the city. As part of the process, initial enrollment numbers for 2014-15 are pegged at 7126, up by 58 from the current year. Board chair Terry Riley said they budget carefully and even tried to be a little more on the conservative side
