Parking will once again be on the agenda at tonight’s Medicine Hat City council meeting. Council is expected to hear some financing options on increasing parking for the event center at a city owned well site to the tune of $650,000. At the last meeting, council nixed the idea of spending more than $3 million on adding 400 more stalls. Also at tonight’s meeting, commercial tax changes are being discussed in the form of a recommendation that will allow businesses that have received an increase of 35% or more to defer property taxes for a period of one year. The meeting gets underway tonight at 6:30 in council chambers at city hall.
