Losing another contract means school bus company Tot-em will close its doors. The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education has voted to approve a contract with Southland out of Calgary as its new bus provider. Last month, School District 76 also signed a deal with Southland. Tot-em director Nigel Lawson says that Southland came in and really undercut the price and he doesn’t understand how then can offer services so low. As part of their contract, Southland will open an office in Medicine Hat. The company previously said they were accepting employment applications in the city and were inviting Tot-em employee’s to apply with them. Tot-em had been providing bus service to the catholic board since 1969
