CFB Suffield to mark National Day of Honour

Today has been designated a National Day of Honour to recognize the contributions of Canadian soldiers to the war in Afghanistan. CFB Suffield will recognize the thousands of troops from many different units and organizations, some of whom currently serve at CFB Suffield, who have been deployed to Afghanistan since the beginning of our country s involvement in this conflict. A parade honouring those soldiers is being held at CFB Suffield today at the parade square on the base. Officials say there will also be a moment of silence held at 11:30 this morning to honor those that gave their lives in service to our country.
